Hard finish plaster compound

Hard Finish Plaster is a general purpose product designed to provide a tough, smooth, abrasive- resistant finish over masonry, brick, concrete or over masonry, brick or concrete surfaces. Hard Finish Plaster is a setting compound designed to give a smooth and durable internal finish. It is free from inherent shrinkage and cracking and sets to a hard, white and blemish-free surface.

Skim coat plaster compound designed for use with lime to achieve a hard surface on walls and ceilings.

APPLICATION

Apply Hard Finish in two coats over a basecoated or keyed surface.
Highly porous substrates may reduce performance (cracking or reduced strength may occur). For porous or thirsty substrates, pre-wetting or pre-sealing of the surface may be necessary. Trowel the first coat lightly into the background ensuring imperfections are filled
Apply the second coat with a straight wood float or trowel to achieve a true and level surface and lay down with the trowel
As the final set takes place, trowel up the surface with a light flat trowelling action vertically and horizontally to eliminate joints and to provide a dense smooth finish
Sand with care lightly using 150, 180 or 220 grit paper
Thoroughly clean all tools and equipment after use
